Re: vocal sounds, choirs, etc
I've got NI Komplete 7 on order. (Not sure when it will come - it's a new release.) It's not very expensive as a full set with Reactor, Kontact with 43 gigs of samples and loads of other stuff ($559 USD, with Kontact alone - their sampler - being $399 USD). This version includes choral samples. On t...

Re: Three little oboe players
tubatimberinger: You say "I would direct you away from N3 as the notation features are severely lacking in several base-line level aspects which make the parts that N3 outputs unusable in the average rehearsal setting. This applies especially when dealing with a professional orchestra as they a...

Re: Help needed! Custom rules for VST drumset
By the way, in the mac world I can't find a file with a name or extension like "expressionlist.tpk". I wonder if it's only in Windows... Maybe the expressions are built in to the app in the Mac version?

Re: Help needed! Custom rules for VST drumset
Hi all, O.k., I'm finished now. Here's what I've found: - Finding plugin IDs for Mac plugins can be problematic, unless we can find a Mac tool that can tell us what they are (I spent some time looking and couldn't find one. VSThost works for Windows.). The vendor - Toontracks - gave me three candida...

Re: Help needed! Custom rules for VST drumset
Thanks Erufalion, I misread your default.prules file. (I missed the "<midi-out id="A">" hiding under the dynamic map and got it into my head that these generic rules were truly generic and applied to the default way NOTION3 interprets expressions. I had read something about doing...

Re: Help needed! Custom rules for VST drumset
Well, still no real progress...
Please, can anyone send me a prules file, that they know works, that changes any of the default rules for NOTION3? (If I can make that go or not go, then I can eliminate some variables.)
Thanks,
Kirk

Re: Help needed! Custom rules for VST drumset
Thanks Kyle and Bill for your replies. Brian in in tech support is on the case. I've sent him my rules files. Stay tuned. Bill, I thought that it was the ID too, that's why I tried the default.prules file. Since I couldn't make that work either, I'm thinking that I'm just doing some small stupid thi...

Help needed! Custom rules for VST drumset
Hi Everyone, Does anybody know if custom rules still work? I want to use the NOTION3 drum staff to drive drum plugins, specifically EZdrummer right now, but NI KONTACT drum sets and other instruments in the future. I've watched the tutorials on custom rules, read through a bunch of discussions on cu...
