Re: Windows 8 Touch tablet and Notion 4?

@elerouxx, thank you for notes on using a Windows 8 touch tablet with Notion 4. I'm considering picking on up so that I can break free from the desktop when composing (and doing other work), and like the ability to have a full desktop version of Notion in a tablet form. I'll probably also have some ...

Re: android

A tip of my hat to ShiftyGeezer for his insightful contribution to this discussion. I see this issue in an entirely new light as a result.

Notion 4 and Windows 8: Touchscreen

I'm currently running Notion 4 on Windows 7 64 bit. It's a desktop environment, and it works just fine. However, I'd like to be able to run the full version of Notion on a laptop, so I'm considering a touchscreen laptop running Windows 8. I'm wondering if anyone is doing this, and whether or not Not...

Re: Former Symphony Pro user looking for new notation app

Well, I'm not trying to start a debate of one OS over another, and I'm a little uncomfortable with where this is heading. All I'm tying to do, as a long-time loyal Notion software customer, is urge our friends at Notion Music to consider serving a very substantial market of current and future Notion...

Re: Former Symphony Pro user looking for new notation app

We can assure you that we are dedicated to developing and delivering the best notation app for mobile devices. We are not in the position to comment on Symphony Pro's development as an app or a company, but we can assure you that we are in this for the long haul:) I wish this were completely true. ...

Re: android

One year ago, when a fellow Notion Music customer asked our good friends at Notion Music if an Android app would be developed, this was the response: We'd love to do it, but right now it's not on the immediate horizon. I suggested at the time that the Android market is enormous, and that Notion Musi...

Re: Kontakt 5 + 8dio or Eastwest symphonic choir?

The EW choirs are the most flexible, but least Notion friendly at this point, as you need to insert a CC value to set the start point in the lyrics, so would have to create a custom rule set. With Kontakt, you can create a hidden staff to send Keyswitches. Only you can know what you're comfortable ...

Re: android

I can't be sure, but I suspect you overestimate the market, perhaps because you are advocating for it.... Actually, I spent a couple of hours researching this, just to satisfy my own curiosity. With all due respect, I didn't make this up. Anyway, it looks like an Android version of Notion is not go...

Re: android

... But when 3 million new iPads are sold the first weekend they are available, and so few tablets of any other kind have sold (versus over 60 million iPads), it's pretty easy to see where developers are going to go. I have a different view. There have been 190 million Android devices activated. a ...

Well, that's a disappointment. It's a major market. One would think the profit motive would be sufficient to drive development for an Android version of the app.
