Re: Tenuto line vs. semi-staccato?

the semi-staccato is a very handy articulation in Notion, however, if you use it in printed music, you will confuse many players.

Re: Extension Woodwind bundle

I can confirm it is common for bassoonists to place tubing (of whatever they have available) in their instruments to produce lower notes than the standard range. They can go as low as Ab this way. How in-tune and pleasant sounding it will be is a different matter.

Re: How to effectively manage beaming patterns?

There is a beaming tool you can use to manually beam notes (in the pallet). I found it to be a little clunky in how it works. Other than that, I don't think you can do it in one or two clicks as you seem to want.

Re: Concertmaster Solo on VI staff

can't you just do an instrument change and use/assisgn the 'solo violin' (as opposed to violin section; the default) sample that comes with Notion? That's what I do.

Re: Notation Enhancement

I think a lot has to do with being acquired by one of the 'big boys'. Whenever this happens (in any industry) there is gonna be a period of disarray. The better the acquiring company, the shorter the time it takes. I'm taking this into account. I'm disappointed, but not surprised. The story always e...

Re: Busy, Busy, Busy...

It seems, someone mis-read something, then commented and a few others joined in and that led to confusion. Don't know who spoke out of turn and it's not important. But this is what I got when I asked on FB.

Re: Notation Enhancement

I was once a VERY vocal critic of this (the engraving limitations in Notion). Once, I was actually asked, under pain of having my posts deleted, to not speak out so much. But from my point of view, at the time, they were advertising something that they did not even come close to delivering. To make ...
