Re: should I get GPO?
I'm a huge Notion fan, but I'm afraid that Sibelius or Finale could be one version away from perfecting VST custom playback and making Notion irrelevant. it depends. i just had to go for the sib crossgrade for the video support. once you get things set up, it's pretty powerful. i particularly like ...

Re: MUST HAVE LIST for 3.X
i'll buy that. perhaps this would be covered by the quicktime integration, but as it stands now, an inserted wav can only be played from its beginning. if you stop, and make an edit, the only way you can hear the edit against the inserted wav is by scrolling back to the point where the wav starts. e...

Re: should I get GPO?
You'll definitely need to tweak the rules files to get the full use of GPO. The combination of GPO's playability controls (which are great for a DAW environment) and Notion's rules system isn't exactly ideal. The only GPO instruments that are difficult, if not impossible to use, are GPO's multi-per...

Re: questions before buying
for example i never ever wrote or found myself reading a chart with chords symbols like this: delta.tiff or like this: minoredelta.tiff and i'm simply used to the fact that i should be able to choose which way i want to write my chord symbols... i also found strange the way all alterations (like b9...

Re: Lyric Frustrations
strange. i don't think i've seen your specific problem. for me, the lyric text entry box often shows up somewhere in the top left 1/4 of the screen, regardless of where the actual note i'm editing is :? when entering lyrics, do you have issues with the lyrics shifting downward with every TAB press (...

Re: Problems with new update and new sound:(
i did notice that the new update overwrites your existing loaded instruments, so you'll have to go to the vi manager, and re-enable your miroslav.
insofar as the other issue, support would be the way to go.

Re: composing entirely in Notion - my issues...
Hi Pitr, I am have the same issues that you are experiencing. Let's hope that we can get some answers. I would like to add also that I cannot find how to edit note velocity. There must be a way to edit this per note. Thanks, Gordon on pc, select the note and use alt+up/down arrows to adjust velocit...

Re: Notion 3, DISCO Songs, and Sparkles
way to go!
i've found notion incredibly useful for working out guitar/bass arrangements, as well. the tab/staff implementation and virtual fretboards are fantastic! plus, it's nice to have the tab to refer to 6 months from now when i've completely forgotten what i'd actually played...

Re: Some bugs i have
well, for ~250$ we have our customers rights :D agreed, but text can be easy to misinterpret sometimes, and 90% of the stuff we post is regarding problems as we may see them...so i just wanted to make sure i wasn't coming off as harsh. for my uses, notion does do an awful lot right...in many cases,...

Re: Some bugs i have
We do not consider the use of sounds as an "addition" to our program.....but more of an integral part of the compositional process. it certainly is that way for me. thanks :) I have a hard time understanding how someone who would spend money on external libraries would still be working on...
