Better Than Fried Dough
An original piece from one of my two upcoming CDs, "Music to Cook By" and "Music to Dine By" which will be bundled with the No Fret Cooking cookbook. ( http://www.nofretcooking.com ) I used Notion on almost all of the 22 songs on the two CDs. For this tune I exported wav files fr...

Re: Notion 3 Version 3.2... it's a small world
I submitted a bug report on this, but I want to know if anyone else has seen this problem with 3.2 : When I play back a score, when Notion hits the coda, it stops producing audio output. I've seen this in two different scores, both written with the previous version of Notion.

Re: Drum set
Here's what works for me.
Using score setup, I add drum set to my score. Then I open one of the score library files and copy-paste a few measures into the bland drum staff in my score.
Is that what you did? What is the problem? No sound on playback?

Re: Notion 3.1 is out
In the list of fixes, I see something about opening Notion 2 guitar files. However, with the new build, when I open Notion 2 guitar files, I still do not see chord symbols. Is this something that was supposed to be fixed in this build?

Re: How to remove arpeggio-symbol from a note?
Wouldn't it also be simple to just be able to click the arpeggio-symbol and be able to hit delete/backspace? Currently the whole chord get selected. It is possible to click on the arpeggio-symbol to select just that without selecting the chord, but it's very tricky -- there seems to be one spot tha...

Using Notion in Jazz Guitar Lessons
For the most part, the discussion of using Notion in music education focuses on conducting, but there are lots of other educational uses of Notion. I use Notion in teaching jazz guitar lessons, both private lessons at my home studio, and online correspondence lessons. Here's how I use Notion in onli...

Thanks. I aslo discovered the Place Inline button, which gave me what I wanted. I edited my post re: guitar, with the music snippets embedded. Much better.

It appears that the image tags are not functional on this forum. It would be helpful, I think, to be able to post screen shots on this forum. Can images be enabled?

Re: Needing advice from a guitar player
A stretch of eight frets is pretty much impossible. Six frets is a tough stretch for most guitarists. For the interval you describe, two handed tapping would be required (a la Tuck Andress). As Ronn pointed out, close voicings can be rough on the guitar. Classic example, Johnny Smith's version of Mo...
