Josh,
I don't see any link to the beta tester forum on the PreSonus forum page. Can you point me in the right direction?
Best,
Thorrild

Re: 3D Effect in the mixer
Hi GyorgyL,
I use a VST called Virtual Sound Stage made by Parallax Audio. I apply it directly in Notion, as an insert on each instrument. The effect is subtle but quite satisfying — it helps eliminating the flatness of the audio image. The link:

Re: Turning many measures of rests into one large number
Hi awwatson740,
1. From the Score menu, select Part Options.
2. In the resulting dialog box, click on the More tab.
3. Change the drop down menu for Multimeasure Rests from None to, say, 2.
Best,
Thorrild

Re: Extension Woodwind bundle
Just found this on a woodwind blog, in response to someone's question about how to get a low A without spending a fortune: "There are three useful ways to play low A on a standard bassoon. 1) an empty paper towel tube* stuck in the bassoon bell (maybe toilet paper tube as well) 2) an Engligh Ho...

Re: Extension Woodwind bundle
Hi Frank, I was taught in high school (in Denmark) that when Carl Nielsen wrote his Woodwind Quintet in 1922, the bassoonist, Knud Lassen, would ceremoniously and very seriously insert the cardboard tube from a spent roll of kitchen towels into his instrument in order to produce the low A in the fin...

Woodwind trills
I promised in another post aimed at johnny and wilhoit that I would go over emails sent to Notion tech support to see if there is something worth posting for other forum participants. This is my first stab at it — an email dated May 13, 2013; let's see if it sounds informative to anyone else: I just...

Re: Extension Woodwind bundle
Did you post this issue on the forum before? I purchased the expansion sound set I think in Nov. 2013. I've got poor memory but thought I might have recalled something about this a long time ago. Can't quite remember. Anyway thank you very much for your input and the example file which "reveal...

Re: Extension Woodwind bundle
Has anyone else had a problem like this and found a solution, explanation, or workaround? Hi wilholt, I haven't had the energy to plow through surfwhammy's posts, but since he often misses the point, here is the answer and a workaround: There is a bug in the Bassoon Duo sample: The bottom notes pla...

Hi kvapka,
I like the humor in your reply. Probably a better way of dealing with the OP than actually arguing the facts...

Re: Notion 5?
It is really hard for me to understand a question like this. If you have to do your movie work and Notion 5 isn't available to you, then you must either use Notion 4 or something else. Surely you aren't proposing to the people who hired you for the job that they postpone their movie until you have a...
