Re: adding a measure?

Use the "barline" tool, the shortcut is the "i" key. Page 11.12 in the manual. Also page 8.5.

Click wherever you want them.

This probably was not intended, was it?

The only reason I can imagine they would omit it is to save space, but it's only 90 KB. Or perhaps they felt it wasn't critical for evaluation purposes...

Re: No Metronome in the Demo?

OK, I'm on a Mac but....

From within Notion3, if you open Preferences and select the Audio tab, it will show you the location of the Samples Folder. That is where Metronome.prox would be found.

Re: No Metronome in the Demo?

Check to see if "Metronome.prox" is included with the bundled sounds for Notion3. You don't say what platform you're on, so I can't tell you specifically where to find it. If Metronome.prox is not there, then I suspect it is not included with the demo. The metronome is included and works i...

Re: Metronome Clicks

IMHO, this should go very high on the new features priority list.

Either a check box in the tool bar to turn off the metronome, a metronome On/Off button, or a menu option, perhaps in Tools.

Please don't stick it away in a Preference setting or the Mixer. It should be readily accessible.

Thanks, I hadn't found that.

Good to know, but not as handy if there was just one more level of menu selection for instruments.

Notion3 & GPO4

I'm a little confused about Notion3 and Garritan GPO4 (Aria). The N3 manual indicates that GPO (Aria) is already supported and the preset is built-in, but the GPO instrument choices from within N3 look nothing like the choices from within Aria. For example, N3 just gives me an option for "Piano...

Re: Best sound library for String Quartet?

I think you might be confusing "compatibility" with "built-in presets".

Check out the VST Manager in Notion3. It will allow you to load and use most, if not all, VST plugins.

Re: Best sound library for String Quartet?

Probably the BEST samples I've ever heard are from the VSL Solo Strings set, but since those aren't compatible with N3 they don't really count. VSL will work with any VST host, so why not with Notion3? Also, Garritan Personal Orchestra 4 is good bang for the buck, but EastWest Samples is my persona...

Re: Notion Demo!

:D A big round applause to Notion for providing a full functioning demo . I've been looking at a lot of software over the past few months, and being able to really test a program in real world use is a huge benefit. Especially with music, it is nearly impossible to do a demo of average-sized works i...
