Re: Misc questions for keyboard players using Notion 4
The Soft pedal slides the entire keyboard to the right by a few mm, this causes the hammer to strike only 2 of the 3 unison strings in the middle and upper register, as well as using the softer, less used part of the hammer felt. It doesn't change the dynamic level so much as it changes the timbre o...

ReWire - Logic X
Hello All, I'm trying to sync Notion 4 up to Logic X via rewire. I've enabled rewire in both applications, and opened Logic X before opening Notion so that it is slaved to Logic. Trying to create an external midi instrument in Logic reveals Notion in the library, but there aren't any output channels...

Re: Tremolo Tuplets
Thanks Admin, On a related note, fingered tremolos between two notes could use this tuplet feature as well. It's great that the developers are so involved with the user base.

Re: Tremolo Tuplets
The second measure repeats the pattern of the first, 6 strokes per dotted half note. The dotted halves here are probably a notational quirk, as the sequencer needs these 3 long notes to be in a 9:6 tuplet. They are supposed to represent the 6 eighth notes in the space of one beat, not 1.5 beats (6 e...

Re: Tremolo Tuplets
I wouldn't think this has anything to do with requiring specialized sampling, rather the sequencer would simply trigger the sample the same as any other tuplet, but on the same note. This isn't an esoteric virtuoso technique, it's a matter of basic notation necessary for accurate and professional sy...

Transposing Instruments
Is there a way to change the transposition for instruments like horns, trumpets, etc.? For example Notion seems to only allow Horns in F and Trumpets in Bb, while I would like to use Horns in Eb and Trumpets in C. Obviously, I can change the key manually but the instrument name still appears as Horn...

Tremolo Tuplets
I'm having some challenges creating string tremolos on anything other than square 8th/16th note divisions. Is it possible to create triplets/sextuplets or other tuplets on a single note tremolo? A score with tons of written out fast repetitions looks absurd.

Re: Metric Modulation
Thanks for the advice, this is a useful workaround. Not exactly what I had in mind though, an actual metric modulation would be really useful as a new feature since it doesn't appear to be possible. It would let you do things like change from straight eights to swing eights and other fun things. It'...

Metric Modulation
Is it possible to create indicators for a modulation in meter? For example when changing from 4/4 to 12/8, either the quarter note time values remain the same (quarter = quarter), or the beat is now subdivided into 3 (quarter = dotted quarter). I suppose I could simply add a text box with a music fo...
