I've included a jpg with this reply. The whole note A should be tied to the first ending whole note A - which is easy to do ......but I don't know how to have it show as a tie to the half note A of the second ending.

I have a situation where a note is tied over a first ending (two measures - the one preceding the first ending and the first ending). It should also tie to the same note in the second ending but I'm not sure how to get the 'partial tie' symbol that I would need to indicate that tie is still in place...
