Re: Notion 3 EWQL templates eating too much ram

Yes, I tried the whole midi outs with various software...I wasted almost 30 hours trying to get the stupid thing set up right, and in the end I couldn't get it to work. I then tried to write the rules, but I'm clueless about all that stuff. I ended up extremely frustrated by the "workarounds&qu...

Re: Notion 3 EWQL templates eating too much ram

I've not been able to use notion for that reason - no 64 bit. I write huge orchestral composition and I own EWQL. I can write then import into sonar using the LSO sounds - but that isn't why I got EWQl and Notion. Notion said it was 64 bit compatible (silly me thinking it was 64 bit), and that it in...

Re: Notion 3 EWQL templates eating too much ram

2 gig's with GPO?

Wow...

Yes, 64 bit edition of notion needs to come very soon.

Unfortunately, I haven't been able to really use notion at all.

Lubo, how quick are you guys getting this out the door?

Notion 3 EWQL templates eating too much ram

Hey, I'm not sure what happened, but the templates that build 250 introduced as a way to load a full orchestra under 2 gigs is no longer working. Maybe it was the play update or a notion update... But it now takes me to almost 4 gigs to load the "lite" full orchestra template, at which poi...

Re: Build 250 is out !

Oh man, I'm excited!

I got the FULL EWQLSO Template to load without hassles. The only problem is the 3, 6, and 4 instrument patches (3 flute, 3 clarinet, 6 horn, 4 trumpet, etc.) doesn't load/play. Not sure what the issue is.

But that's not a terribly big deal! I'm super excited.

Thanks guys!

Re: Apologies ahead of time...this isn't pretty.

Excellent to hear.

Will they load with the software or with jbridge? Because I can't use the 32 bit plugin with my set up. I have to use it on a different computer. With my system, the 32 bit plug crashes Notion.

Re: My custom EWQLSO external midi rules

I, for one, would definitely appreciate the midi rules.

Hopefully you can post them.

Re: Apologies ahead of time...this isn't pretty.

The problem isn't my hardware. I have 16 gigs of memory. I have a 64 bit OS, 64 bit sound card. When I run Sonar 8.5 64, I can load 2 full orchestra's and be sitting at around 9 gig's. I tested it today just to see the comparison. My computer was built for 64 bit composing. Finale is 32 bit, like yo...

Apologies ahead of time...this isn't pretty.

Ok, before I get started, I want to apologize. I need to vent, badly, and I feel this is the best place to do it...and provide feedback to Notion Music from a very frustrated and disappointed customer. This morning I was gleeful about getting Notion 3 in the mail. I ordered it yesterday, with over n...
