Re: Metronome Clicks
I guess if other music is already recorded and you are adding new parts to it then you might not need the metronome.

Re: intelligence behind the notation algorithms?
There is no notation program available which can do what you are asking. You would be asking the program to interpret what you are playing, calculate from your tempo changes where any new bars start and finish and then notate what you are doing in readable notation. Just not possible at the moment a...

Re: Realtime Midi Input
Not everyone joins a forum to read about software before purchasing. Indeed many people just naively believe that a company's advertising will be completely accurate. I too feel that the program was released too early and with inadequate testing. Let's hope that the problems can be resolved.

Re: Realtime Midi Input
So if you wish to play music in, to get a good natural 'groove' in Notion, you can't. Since the program is all about top quality playback I think the real time input is a scandal. If it not a MIDI problem what is it? Also why did the programmers not design in the simple ability to have a bar or two ...

Re: Realtime Midi Input
Yes this at the moment is completely unusable. Also at present even if you import MIDI files into notion all the mdi timings are messed up. I would have thought this aspect must be an absolutely urgent matter to fix for a program which claims to be a bridge between notation and audio. It is a fundam...

Re: N3 Copy Protection
Yes we really need a definitive answer about this issue from Notion staff as people are rightly concerned.

Re: Notion's MIDI import seems to be really poor
It's all very well asking for patience but these matters are so basic that it seems to me that the software was released too early. Such elementary and basic features like accurate midi timing, real time input, midifile import should all have been there at release date. Maybe the MIDI real time inpu...

Re: Notion's MIDI import seems to be really poor
Well you really could not have tried Notion 3's midi real time recording in any meaningful way because it is certainly not 'working well enough'. In fact it is unusable in its current state. In a sequencer, or even a notation program like Sibelius, when you play in real time you should get a totally...

Re: Notion's MIDI import seems to be really poor
That's good to hear. I was of course using ASIO which I do with all my music software. It is only Notion 3 that is causing me the problems with RealTime MIDI recording.

Re: Notion's MIDI import seems to be really poor
Yes the realtime MIDI recording is just not accurate enough for current use. You cannot use it as you would a sequencer. Moreover it doesn't even present you with a count-in which is bizarre. You have to allow a bar or two before starting recording. Even very simple tunes are not recorded accurately...
