Any Notion users in Melbourne?
I am starting to get bedded down into using Notion 4 and it would be really good to find someone close by who uses this software. Technical Support have suggested I post a request here. I live in Kilsyth, about 40km east of the centre of the city. (For the benefit of those who are unfortunate enough...

Re: Rallentando
Thanks Thorrild. That is so cool and so simple. Can you tell me please where that was hiding in the Manual? In my haste to get on with things, I have probably missed the solution to many other little problems. But best of all, is my delight with how much better my trivial efforts sound in Notion3 wh...

Rallentando
Is there a quick and easy way to write a rallentando over two or three bars? Is that the purpose of NTempo, which I haven't yet explored? So far, I have discovered that it not possible to write new tempi except on the first beat of each measure, whereas in, say, Harmony Assistant it is possible to i...

Re: Jazz feel in Notion 3
Thank you, pcartwright. O me of little faith. I should stop asking the question "Does (X) exist?" and replace it with "Where do I find X"? ... which is not always obvious. (To me!) After three weeks of using Notion, I am still delighted with the improvement in playback audio, par...

Jazz feel in Notion 3
I sort of had the feeling that entering notes in a Jazz template would result in equal quavers playing back with a dotted feel, as can be specified as a Preference in some other software. But it still plods on squarely. Do I need to enter all such timing by the time-consuming operation of entering c...

Re: Waiting for good-o!
You are so kind, Fabio, I can readily forgive you for your resemblance to Basil Fawlty. :D I would also like to pass a vote of thanks to the NOTION "Board of Management" for automatically alerting me when a message is posted. It really adds an official note of welcome and promotes a sense ...

Re: No longer waiting for good-o!
Hi! It is really time the thread under this name was closed. I think I have worn out my facile little pun ripping off Samuel Beckett. Thanks to the camaraderie displayed, I shall no doubt return — same ID, different theme. But I think it's worth mentioning here that in the intervening week or so, I ...

Re: Waiting for good-o!
Thanks, Fabio. I have not only done that but to my joy discovered that that I CAN transfer to my iPad. Previous PDFs were hiding in Collections and I was only looking in Books. The expensive toy is finally going to be of some use to me! Monty. (Thread should really now be changed to "Good-o is ...

Re: Waiting for good-o!
Thanks for your replies. Delivery of the full version was swift. I collected it at the music shop just before closing time on Friday. All instruments are available and sound splendid. Good point about the different players available in Garritan PO, which I have. I have always been concerned about us...

Waiting for good-o!
I have downloaded the demo version and enough beautiful LSO samples to recreate be able to recreate a score only semi-successfully completed in other software. The playback (sonic) results so far have been so superior in sound as to cause me to drive to the nearest retailer and plonk down a deposit....
