Re: Crashes on Snow Leopard - Memoryproblem with EWQL
Yep, I have read this article at SO, too. I have however never seem this "fabled deamon" actually in operation. I suppose it does not even exist, but was planned and ultimately scrapped without deleting the corresponding article. The behaviour has nothing to do with Notion; Play crashes ju...

Re: Best sound library for String Quartet?
There are two ways to get external instruments into Notion. 1) By the built- in presets: These automatically map all articulations, so if you i.e. enter "pizz", the playback will use pizzicato samples. This, as you noted, works for the VSE, EWQLSO and Miroslav. In due course other librarie...

Re: Crashes on Snow Leopard - Memoryproblem with EWQL
Unfortunately, Notion is a 32 bit app, which means that it can only address 3.7 GB of ram (including virtual memory). That is about 2 GB of "real" ram. I have the same problem. We could (in theory) avoid this by using a 64 bit host which in turn gives it's instruments to Notion, like Vienn...

Re: ReWire Issues with Logic Pro 9 and Notion Slave
As I once wrote in another thread, so far every single Notation software I tried had exactly this behaviour. I don't know about Finale, but Sibelius managed to fix it very, very quickly. I suppose it is actually a bug in Logic, but obviously one which can be circumvented. If there is anything I can ...

Re: Thank you for the update
Of course, constructive criticism is always needed and usually even appreciated. If not, the ones criticised are dumb as three miles of dirt road. Feedback from external users of a software has the big advantage of having a completely different point of view. The enduser could not care less how much...

Re: Focused Pre-Release Beta testers wanted
Well, that's the fate of Beta Testing. You will over time realise that it is sometimes much work, but at least as much fun to do.
I wish you any fun you can get
By the way: The quote is _not_ by me. Funny enough, I am under NDA not to say from where I got it^^

Re: ReWire Issues with Logic Pro 9 and Notion Slav
I have exactly the same problem. It also happens in Logic Express 7.2 and Logic Pro 8.
So far nothing I tried worked.

Re: Best sound library for String Quartet?
I'd suggest LASS, too, but only by word of mouth. This library is so far away from any budget imaginable to me...
Other than that, for Solo Violin I'd recommend the one in EW Gypsy.

Re: Thank you for the update
Patience ALWAYS pays off. Ask either Yoda or Mr. Tuvok
I am pretty sure this is not the last we have gotten from Notion.

Re: Metronome Clicks
That works, but a button in the toolbar would be nice, too
