nested palettes are cumbersome

It's a two step process the way it is. Maybe It would be better to be able to expand them and have them stay expanded if you wanted them that way. Enharmonics is a two step process when using the new (brilliant I might add :D ) pen tool, which for me, is not how I'd like it. Is this the right place ...

Re: Ties. - multiple concerns

I have had serious problems with ties with the desktop version 3, so this doesn't surprise me. I spent a considerable amount of time trying to correct it. I don't know if they fixed it, or even if I was doing it myself (I doubt it), but it was annoying. As a matter of fact, it was the ONLY real issu...

Re: Former Symphony Pro user looking for new notation app

finally listen to its loyal customers For the life of me I don't see the attraction. I have an Android device and there aren't any apps at all for it, especially in music production. Yet, people say things to the contrary. But in the end It's really it's like the Apple/Windows dichotomy I guess. Yo...

Re: Former Symphony Pro user looking for new notation app

Symphony pro had two aspects to it that made it highly conducive to finger/stylus entry. 1) Crosshairs 2) single click palettes. The two and three click palettes of Notion desktop works fine, but if we all were to vote on this, what would you imagine the outcome would be? The crosshairs made note en...

Re: Former Symphony Pro user looking for new notation app

Symphony Pro is kaput. They closed up shop without any goodbyes or explanation leaving everyone hanging. Nice of them. Apparently, it was three college kids that had created it. One of them went on to graduate school and since the code was outdated they abandoned it. The word then is that It will no...

Re: Version 1.2.27

Agreed. Notion is the ONLY music notation app out there that is really mobile. A leap ahead of the oposition. I would have like to see it being punted and advertised more. The good folks at Notion music really deserve the credit. Yes the "opposition" must be trembling  (just kidd...

Re: Notion 4 Ship Date

Perhaps if there's enough interest Notion would be tempted offer custom rules as paid add-on (don't jump on me for this).

Money is an incentive, and frankly I see no incentive if Notion 4 hasn't changed at all in this regard.

Re: Notion 4 Ship Date

I may be in the minority, but for me, the decision whether to upgrade to Notion 4 is going to hinge almost entirely on how custom rules have been handled. . That's one of the main reasons I bought Notion, and because of what you have pointed out I'm 'moving' to Sibelius. I use Jonathan Loving's sou...
