Found it: it can now be done by adding tremolo.

Trill effect on timpani
Hi,
I used to apply the trill effect on the timpani to get a nice drum roll effect. In Notion3 this doesn't seem to work. Is there another way to have a drum roll effect on the timpani?
kr,
Jo

Flageolet
What ever happened to the flageolet? I do not find any reference in the user guide. Flageolet was included in Protégé and when playing back a Protégé score in Notion3 with the sounds substituted by Notion3 sounds, the flageolet can be heard. So, it seems strange that it can no longer be entered in N...
Playback when clicking and dragging notes
I just upgraded from Protégé to Notion3. And, even though I was very happy with Protégé, I was hitting the boundary of the 8 instruments limit. So, thanks for the opportunity to upgrade from Protégé to Notion3!!! :D However, there is one feature I miss with Notion3 that was there with Protégé :( : w...

Glissando
Hi,
is there a way to use a glissando on the string sections? I do not find any reference in the help file.
Kind regards,
Jo

Re: What playing techniques are included?
A while ago I have received the Expanded Strings I. It does indeed contain the tremolando effect. In fact, the whole extension package can be summarized as consisting of the tremolando and the con sordino playing techniques (in all sorts of combinations: accented, legato, trill). However, I still do...

Re: What articulations are included?
That's nice to know. Thanks.
I guess I will now wait until I receive the Expanded Strings I and hope that it includes some other stuff that I would like to have (e.g. upbow and downbow, etc)
Regards,
Jo

Re: What articulations are included?
Hi Kyle, Thanks for your reply, but I had already thought of that. However, I am still confused. One example of my confusion is for the tremolando technique, of which the Protégé help file explicitly states: To generate the most realistic string tremolando sound, we recommend you install the Expande...

What articulations are included?
It seems to me that all possible expressions and articulations are listed in the sidebar, even the ones that are not included in Notion Protégé. For some articulations, the help file indicates that an extension pack is needed, but this is not always the case. So, to find out which ones are included,...
