Re: crazy memory consumption
If you're using VEP, why would you need Bidule? VEP (server) only exposes audio outputs to its VST(i) (usually on a client machine), Bidule is the Plugin container exposing audio outputs to my interface. CLIENT: bidule [ VST(i) ] => audio interface | SERVER: | | VEP (no audio interface) Now I don't...

crazy memory consumption
I have 16-cores with 32GB memory running windows 7 x86_64 and Notion4 64 bit (latest update). Here are the completely repeatable steps: 1) reboot machine 2) start VEP5 load entire orchestral template -> 5GB memory "in use" 3) start PlogueBidule (64 bit) 4) start Notion4 and choose a projec...

Re: key-switch NOTE-OFF
No it doesn't. Nor do other music apps as far as I know. You mean notation applications? Because if a sequencer neglected to calculate note length and send a note-off, I'm pretty sure the MIDI protocol would have collapsed years ago. Notion sends Note Offs when you use custom rules. ... but it does...

Re: key-switch NOTE-OFF
First, the question was simply: Does notion send a NOTE-OFF MIDI message for the rule action <key-switch/> I appreciate your attempt at thoroughness, but in this case, a simple yes or no really would have been sufficient. For "playable notes", the MIDI specification appears to be that they...

key-switch NOTE-OFF
I don't know what to make of this. Is it possible that Notion4 doesn't send NOTE OFF messages when using custom rules with <key-switch type="note-on-prefix" midi-pitch="32" velocity="1" /> I'm monitoring the MIDI exiting Notion which uses a simple set of custom rules. F...

Re: Will Notion 4 ReWire properly with Sonar X2 64bit?
Does anyone know how to do this? ASIO4ALL does not work because it seems to want to provide connections to/from actual hardware devices, not convey audio between one software app and another. I've tried VAC (virtual audio cable) in the past but it was too limited and impenetrable. I use jackd [1] o...

Re: Plugin ID
This makes me quite happy ... A couple of questions: 1) Can I define more than one <group /> element per prules file? If so, I assume each <group/> can have a separate <setup /> element as well. 2) Can I change rule-sets like I can change instruments, i.e., anywhere in the score or are these rule-se...

MIDI OUT
I've read this already but was wondering Notion's official stance on the topic:
Why are we limited to 4 MIDI outputs?
My wish would be that every visible port on a system be made available.

Re: cancelling/compounding techniques
NOTE: I should really state that of all the above techniques, I'm really only interested in the key/names that affect playback and playback rules.
thanks

Re: cancelling/compounding techniques
These are the keys/names. Is there a description of what each of these mean? I think I understand some obvious ones but please, correct me if I'm wrong: atps"Staff side default placement either above or below staff entc"End techniques i.e., "vib": End techniques: vibe nvib mvib. ...
